Hannah And Tara, Are You Safe???

Contributed by deathdrop on Monday, 17th May 2004 @ 10:58:09 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Tara and Hannah have run away again!
Jaz says not to worry, but I don’t think they’re safe!
Laura says to leave it!
But can I?
Hannah said she’d phone me!
But she hasn’t, and I wonder why!!!
I wanted to go with them!
I wanted to run away!
Didn’t know what I’d do.
Didn’t know where I’d stay.
Jaz persuaded me not to.
I wish that I’d have gone!
That way I’d know that they’re ok!
And I wouldn’t hurt. Hurting is so wrong!!!

We helped them to get away!
The school didn’t even know that they’d gone!
I didn’t say not to, coz that would make me a waas,
But, I’m scared now coz hours have gone.
Maybe I am a waas.
Maybe there’s some thing wrong with me!
I just know I slit my wrists when they weren’t found last week.
But the pain wouldn’t go from me!!

Laura’s mums a copper!
Laura sounded like she barely cares!
She said to let them get on with it!
How can I zip it?
And not rip out my hair?
She said to phone her later.
If I’m still worried then.
Does she really not care?
Unless I get worked up, again.

They’ve packed their bags and everything.
They’ve got money, to push them on their way.
They didn’t say where they’d go to.
But they did say they were going miles away!
They said they’d stay at a mates house.
Then later get on the train.
Leave this life behind them!
But they promised me,
They wouldn’t be rapped…

No News is Good News dear, they can handle this I'm sure.
They are probably just so busy surviving they haven't time to find a stamp and write.
You'll hear from them soon I'll bet.
I loved your poem.......a marvelous heartfelt write.
Don't worry......you'll hear.....they are just fine, they are all right
Love you
