Because it’s better that you hate me,
Than the truth be known,
Because there’s yet a fading residue,
Of compassion within my bones.
Because I was early,
And you were late,
Because I tested the limits,
And mangled our fate.
Because hope’s a lie and love is fake,
As I am given,
So I must take.
I just don’t want to leave you confused,
That’s why I have to do what I do,
And make a malicious magnet of myself,
To give you anger,
So your heart won’t break.

Great poem man, I find it to be of my liking, because I have also felt that love is fake, and hope is a lie, and I had wandered alone in the dark for so much time.
