The Mansion of Life

Contributed by JennyFruFru on Monday, 17th May 2004 @ 01:20:58 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I walk into a mansion
I close the door behind
I look at all the rooms around, not knowing what I'll find

Some rooms are filled with flowers
Others filled with cheer
Yet there is still a couple rooms that I would not dare go near

Some rooms are filled with sadness
Others are dark and gray
and yet there is other rooms that are filled with pure dismay

There is so many colors
That seem to touch my soul
The rooms that surround me just take a piece of me to hold

I dont know why I stayed there
Something seemed to lure me in
Perhaps it was the pleasant dreams and wishes that were hidden deep within

I could have easily left this place
I could have walked outside

Instead I went into a vibrant room
That seemed to blow my mind

Now although the mansion was filled with sadness, happiness, and cheer
Please remember fellows that there is a valuable lesson always near

Although there was sadness right before my eyes
I chose to shut the door and go into another room to hide

The room I chose to enter made me forget all of my fears
It took away my sadness, because the room was filled with cheer!
