Like some misbegotten mutation on show
This life, so bereft of feeling, languishes so
And if it's even imaginable, numb AND cold
Making the soul very lonely and extremely old
If I wasn't me, I wouldn't want to be
I don't even want to be with me
Because I can't stand to be with me
And there' s no let up that I can see
A sigh, a tear, a beat of an exhausted heart
No respite in my world, right from the start
Draining emptiness marks each breath
And yet, I'm still here just waiting for death
Another faded dawn bringing more
This is what I'm living for
And this is 'I'm dying' here
My own private hell, I fear
