Go Ahead

Contributed by Katie2008 on Sunday, 16th May 2004 @ 09:06:51 PM in AEST
Topic: AngryPoetry

Go ahead, tell them I slipped, tell them I fell, tell them I hit my head against the wall. Go ahead, you lying *****, tell them your stories and don't even flinch. 'Cause these black and blue bruises all over my skin are nothing compared to the pain I feel within. My heart, like my body, has been broken and bruised, my feelings are torn like the flesh on my face. Everytime I smile while you lie by telling them you love me, I am crying and dying and screaming on the inside waiting and hoping for someone to hear me and look beyond the false gleam in my eyes and see the tears I am trying so hard to hide.

This was a really great piece, yet is was very sad. However i really do admire when people let their true feelings once in a while, to let others know what is really going on in this world. Some kids and their parents have it so great, yet there are some who just never could see eye to eye. Well again great write, and thanks for sharing it.
