Role Model Leader

Contributed by Bitterkel on Tuesday, 8th October 2002 @ 03:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: ChristianPoetry

Before Him the world was as black as the night’s sky
And in this gloom He was born
He was full of dreams to be a leader
And Why?
Everyone asked him the same question.

Some mocked him saying that he could never be a leader
Some rejected Him this is true
Some betrayed Him and denied him
Some persecuted and neglected Him
But He opened not His mouth
Just to save me and you

They thought that He should be an earthly king
Rich and full of their kind of glory
But He told them they had the wrong story
He is the greatest role model of all time
Full of wisdom and rhyme

He came down from the safeties of Heaven
To come to this Earth full of hatred and sin
As a mortal He did no wrong nor was there any deceit in his mouth
He is the Prince of Peace and Ruler over men

You may know him as Jesus Christ
But I know him as a Savior, God and Friend
He’ll be Number 1 in my heart until….
Well…. until the end

-Amen-
