Beautiful creature,
looking so sad,
seeming so lonely.
You're a beautiful soul
imprisoned between all those
who doubt you.
They don't see your beauty
of humor, not even
your magnitude of intelligence.
They don't,
but I do.
You don't,
but you choose not to.
I see into your eyes
and witness all the sadness
of your years.
I see the pain,
but also see the great person
lying deep inside of you.
I know you're hurt,
I know you're misunderstood,
I know you're real.
You are real,
you don't try to please,
you're yourself-
that's how you'll always be.
