Rainbows
Exploded
Nail-polish chipped
Fingernails ragged
Toes dirty
Bleeding
Swollen
Insects crawling
Biting
Feeding
Slowly devouring
Consuming live skin
Nothing but skeletons
Gagging
Entrails squirm between your palms
Blood dries between your fingerprints
Can’t wash it all away
Can’t wish it all away
You’re stained
Filthy
Ruined
A scarlet hue
Forever stained
Upon your hands
It sets you apart
An easy target
Simple prey
But who can prey on you
When you get to them first?
