Kiss of Impatience

He kissed me…
I should be happy, right?
But I am not happy
This kiss was formed from manipulation
And a longing for someone, anyone
Not necessarily me.
And I want so much more than a meaningless peck on the lips
So much more from him
I don’t know what to do
Uncertain, so uncertain
No movie happily-ever-after
My life is not written in some Hollywood script citation
So sad so sad so sad the sadness can’t be seen
Don’t tell anymore, stop before you start again.
My death awaits like a looming shadow
Though the root of sadness is not found there
But it lies in these people, the ones who surround me.
The enemies, with dumb hate and my friends who love me blindly.
Why? How? Love me? When ? Now?
My questions never pause, not even for a moment
The loudest brain that constantly tells me
How dumb I am how stupid I am how ugly I am
I must be all three
Because this kiss meant something to only me

An intense expression of feeling, longing and insecurity in self-doubt.
Thanks for sharing. |
