We Parted

We parted in the middle.
What cannot be taken
Is not lost,
Just left behind
On terms undecided
For the breath of winds
Yet to come.
It will be designed,
This life and fate,
The course of which.
Lines drawn and erased
And re-etched in flesh
Too close to bone
Your's, Mine
Is divided
Into our salted wounds.
We have run circles
Bout the truth
And dizzied our beliefs
Til they scramble
What we sought to prove...
That minds, bodies, spirit
Can stand any length of time
No matter great or small
The gain outweighs the tested faith.
We parted in the middle
Seperate entities.
Drawn to the centre
Having not lost,
Having never really fought.
We break the cycle
And stand within the circumference,
Halving out our hearts.
