Lifepoems

Tear away these broken wings
And throw them to the ground
The paths once walked have changed
And are nowhere to be found
Wipe away the fear
As all the faces gather round
Struggling to surface
As alone you slowly drown
Running from the truth
And still hiding behind a lie
Its harder to ignore
Than it is to turn and try
To stand up to your own fears
And look them in the eye
Hold them up for all to see
And watch them slowly die
Never had and never been
But never wanted more
Never known and never seen
But never been ignored
Never had and never been
Still unable to find
Never known and never seen
Except for in my mind
