Watch you twirling in that skirt
Favorite Sesame Street character
Is Bert, doing the crazy chicken dance
Does it hurt?
Free as a late-night streaker
Free like a skydiver without a
Parachute, you are a bird in the sky
Free from all worry, all responsibility
Smelling the flesh mixed with asphalt smoke
I fall to my knees, feeling the tears streak
Down my face. The flames reaching for me
So intense. Rain falls lightly, drowning me
Today’s your fifth birthday, over your grave
I weep remembering your bright smile
That felt like a bear hug. Guide me now,
Little Sis, and be with me forever and always
