Waiting in these lines
Have me remembering the times
When all of that was behind, me
And I’d completely closed the blinds
But now the light shines through again-
And like all men
I find myself staring in the shadows of others, and not in mine
Longing for the love divine
Promised in due time
The questions’ when
Promise me I’ll find
The one who fits standards high,
Beyond perfection, I’d know its her with just one inspection,
One glance- God please bring her to my direction
Giving me the chance
But fool-hearty lust and blood filled eyes
Bring these hopes and dreams crashing
And with thrashing
Words
My demise comes with no surprise
My crippled heart sends lashing
The message “I don’t care”
Because of this I’m now aware
Slashing those who are unprepared
God will send love to where-
You are, where I am
Now this I know, She is not far
Blinds close again yet reveal one star
I’ll take her by the hand
Staring in the night sky far.
