sustain the silence...
ever still across the plain.
inhale the fragrance...
no it's not quite the same.

fallen from your back swings
this isn't acting
dodging each pointed word
it's still hurting.
and it kills
and it burns
and it breaks
then you return...
can't really savor
for now you say "not now"
return the favor
you can't figure it out
but still
the wait
it toils
it's great

i'm cold-hearted, don't want anyone around
so you've said it, then i'll leave...

remain in silence...

sobered by the process
almost excess
there's so much to miss
but not distress.
still i'm killed
still i'm burned
still i'm stuck
till you return...
it was so good
sometimes today as well
but what's good
i can never really tell
yet still
this wait
it toils
it's great

i'm cold-hearted, don't want anyone around
so you've said it, then i'll leave your town
so destructive, when do we ever get along
so i take it, perhaps i've taken it wrong

sustain the silence...
ever still across the plain.
inhale the fragrance...
no it's not quite the same.

and it kills
and it burns
and it breaks
then you return
but still
the wait
it toils
it's great

i'm cold-hearted, don't want anyone around
so you've said it, then i'll leave your town
so destructive, when will we ever get along
so i take it, perhaps i've taken it wrong

remain in silence...

True silence is the rest
of the mind; it is to the spirit
what sleep is to the body,
nourishment, and refreshment.
Soon silence will have passed
into legend, and legend will
become strength in your time
of need. In human intercourse
the tragedy begins, not when
there is misunderstanding
about words, but when silence
is not understood, and to
understand any living thing,
you must search within and feel
the beating of it's heart. The heart
is the only broken instrument that
still works..

Be brave Remialo!

This.... struck a cord - I think I know this feeling. Maybe I'm reading something that isn't really there.... but WOW, if you mean what I think you mean - I get it. Nicely done! (Regardless of whether I'm thinking what you were thinking or not!)

*** Thanks for your note on "Ode". Regarding your friend - if she's anything like me, she will not tell you if she's feels that way. But give her a pen.... and she may.
