MADAME TUSSAUDS

Contributed by sweetangeluk on Tuesday, 11th May 2004 @ 09:18:21 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Once upon a time she lived a fairytale
Kings and queens on thrones prevailed
Midnight struck like cinderella she appeared
Dare she climb on the white stallion that reared

Bright lights shone down on images so real
A young girl in the spotlight feelings surreal
Jewels and crowns adorned her attire
Lucky to play games in tussauds called desire

The demon's in the chambers of her mind
Blew away in the wind a smile that shined
In her hearts of hearts she knew someday
A prince would magically whisk her away

Many memories grew up to figure it out
Takes more than fairytales beyond a doubt
Was given breath from her fantasies once more
A smile a sigh sweet thoughts to explore

A love so pure that could awaken her heart
Illusions and aspirations have played a part
Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder
Madame tussauds dreams in a folder

Love Angelxxxx

I like this one. Its aspirant, in a girlish, endearing way and this appeals to me.

Hope that girl finds her prince charming, and that the folder holds all the dreams intact.

Keep writing & thanks for sharing.

I too took a trip down memory lane after reading your delightful poem. I passed Mde. Tussauds daily when I lived in Kings Cross London N1. It was on my way to work I have visited it about four times in all Thank you AngelUK for this memory. Hugs from Bernard.

Sadly i have very few memories of my childhood. From what i'm told they aren't too grand. However i'm glad that your memories are so vivid and clear. Wonderful job, and what a trip down Memory Lane.

You truely know how to weave a story well. The pen in your hand is like a needle and the ink thread and with them you sew a tapestry for all to enjoy. Thanks

I don't think you're capable of writing something bad Angel! Seems whatever you touch on, turns to poetic gold.
This is a wonderful fantasy write, that even us big girls can still sigh over, and get swept up in the magic of it all.
Good write Angel; keep 'em coming!
