I embrace the night,
Only to lay in a darkness
Filled with the coldness of pain.
I embrace the night,
Feeling the tornment
As the beating of my heart
Barely sustains.
I embrace the night,
Waiting for the dawn
To arrive with its
Courage bright.
I embrace the night,
Lying in the blood of pain.
Fear gripping my breath,
Drowning out the sound,
That freedom would bring.
I embrace the night,
Only to find that darkness
Has swallowed the light to be,
The night has embraced me.
