A door slams shut, but another remains to be opened
the cracks in the sidewalk beneath my feet press back and catapult me to the ground where i lie in ashes and dirt, only to have you grind me deeper into the realm of insanity
no bright lights, only empty shadows casted from the words that so dourly fell from the hatred that has consumed both you and i
in almost an instant a blackhole has engulfed the last piece of happiness fate had in store for me
predestination, you ugly thing
you must really hate me
once again you speak
once again i'm belittled
your selfishness has sparked a signal fire that everyone chooses to ignore
the tie we share tightens around my neck and i am unable to respond to your putrid vernacular, the vile language which only you and your ignorant tongue are able to comprehend
i'm so pathetically bound to you
for reasons that my heart is growing weary of
i finally just shut my eyelids but keep my eyes as far open as you allow me to
you pick me up as easily as you pushed me down
though your footprint will forever be embedded on my soul

You should have listed this under dark poetry. It's a very deep, dark conveyance of words which speak for themself!
Nicely done!
