Dearest Nanna
I am so sorry I failed you
I could have showed you the love of Christ
But I didn’t
Satan had such a grip on you
A grip that I choose to ignore
Please forgive me
I could’ve loved you more
I choose not to
Please forgive me
I love you
As you seem to be fading from us
Please forgive me
As I could have done more
Please forgive me
Because I didn’t
Please forgive me
Nanna I love you
And Nanna
So does God

this poem is simply powerful, it has a kinda dominating presence in your mind when you read it. Its very sad yet reflective, somethings you cant change, somethings you cant stop, and thats just life, not matter how much you beg for forgivness. |

Keep it simple when you write sad poetry! then let the blue show thru', that's my philosophy. |
