Porcelain Doll

Contributed by bleeding_chains on Monday, 10th May 2004 @ 11:42:53 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

Porcelain doll
All smashed and broken
How can you still keep a smile
On your worn wooden face
After all you’ve been through
Where do you hide your hurt?
In the cracks of your body
The tears of your skin
The hole in your head
Porcelain doll
All chipped and cut
How can you stay so beautiful
After so many years of pain
Being thrown about
By random strangers
Being ripped apart by people you don’t know
Where do you hide your fear?
In your drawn on eyes
So sky blue and shining
Behind your mask
Which was painted on
So many years ago
Where do you hide?

Intresting read & good flow of inner feelings. Catcy title. I enjoyed the capture of realism. Thanks for sharing.
