Fly Home Now My Sweet Momma

Contributed by maryetta on Monday, 10th May 2004 @ 09:17:30 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

she is dying do i have the strength to see it through
can i hold up as i watch the life drain away from her
she is so fragile her body and mind shut down
how does one come to grips with the death process
fly home now momma i love you

i gaze at her sightless eyes and cry momma
i hold on to her unresponsive hands squeeze my hand momma
but i know she wont shes dying she cant
im beginning to feel that empty spot deep inside me
fly home now my sweet momma i love you

it hurts to know this is my final goodbye goodbye momma
i knew youd leave me someday but not today
how long will it take for my final goodbye to be final
i just feel my agony going on and on it hurts
fly home now my sweet momma i love you

i cant go to bed for fear of you leaving me as i sleep
this vigil i stay the death watch goes on
i wait to say my final goodbye to send you on your way
just please dont look back at my breaking heart
fly home now my sweet momma i love you

Ouch.
I'm sorry to hear of the turn Maryetta.
Be strong.
I don't think I can even begin to grasp how emotional this is.
Incredible piece brimming with strong emotion.

Hi girlfriend,
I know this hurts and I can't imagene loosing someone this way. Just know u r in my thoughts and prayers. My heart weeps with u.
soon she'll be watching over u as your guardian angel.
My father passed 7 years ago and I was taking care of him. Well I finnaly broke 'bout two weeks after we buried him. I will never forget it. I was sitting by the fire raking coals etc. I broke and imdiately I felt my Dad grab me behind and, his strong luving arms and Mom was rite beside him. Dad said, You've held me up long enuff now let me hold u up.
Course I fell in his and Mom's arms and they heped absorb my pain.
You have been there for your Mom thru it all and I know she will be there for u.
Luv u girlfriend and I pray for God to give u his supernatural strength that passeth all Earthly understanding in Jesus name, Amen.
Luv, huggs,strength,
emy
