Why Should I?

Contributed by Cynthia on Monday, 10th May 2004 @ 06:36:48 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Why should I
lay down and die?

My world is crumbling
around me,
I'm not going to
drop to my knees
and let this world win.

Why should I
give up on life?

Although,
I might be sad,
it doesn't mean
I should give up
on anything.

Why should I
cry and be depressed?

I have to keep
myself calm for you,
you and the children
need me to be strong.

Give up on life.

Why should I?

Cry and be depressed.

Why should I?

Lay down and die.

Why should I?

Life is a test of whether you can make it or not. Life is too short to sit around and be all gloomy. Live life to the fullest! And hang in there. I wish you luck. Keep up the good work! -Stace-

though its hard keep the strength that you have.At times it seems as though we are beaten then out of nowhere something comes from deep within to pull us through. This is a hard time for you and your family but I know that everything is going to be alright!!

Great write, Cynthia!

At once inspiring and depressing at the same time . . . fantastic job.

And kudos to you for not giving up, for staying strong :D.

Love you, friend. Hope we can get to know each other better when you return.

Well sorry but I don't know what u went thru but I can see u have taken something sad and turned it into a work of art.
Reminds me of myself when I was younger. so many times I could have given up but I had three kids to raise with out the help of their Father. That was enuff back then to keep me going and even they r grown with therir own family's them and my grandkids keep me going still.
Luv, huggs, smiles,
emy
