As I lay me down to sleep,
I pray my love does not weep,
For I'll die before I wake,
And I’ll be buried beneath the lake.
Should the bombs end the day,
And I die before I say,
It is for you that I go,
I am reaping what I did soe.
I am sorry we can not touch
I loved you so much,
I should have let you know.
But the words were never told.
I am dead, buried in the ground,
I do not weep nor make a sound,
If there was one thing I wanted to do,
It would be to say “I love you.
