I have turned my thoughts
One million times
Inside my weary mind
For you.
It's the emptiness of
The unanswered
I fear.
Confusion settles deep
And far within the reaches.
My grasp slips
And fall into despair
Again,
As the approach I take
Is nowhere near
The understanding of it.
And it's been fought so long and hard.
You've given what you can,
Expected but unwelcome,
As bitter words wind themselves
Around a truth
I cannot handle.
Perhaps a half
As I will never fully comprehend
How one and then another now.
Oh, how I have turned
A countless number
For you,
About you.
And still,
Still you confuse me and elude me
In the wake of your loss.
It's the emptiness
Of always knowing that
And never why
I endure,
Day in, day out.
As my mind twists and turns,
Then writhes.
While you just walk away
Unscathed
And thoughtless.

This is really deep, and I think you did a wondeful job. Keep up the good work. -Stace- |
