Mother
------
You’re my inspiration,
My dearest friend.
An angel sent from heaven,
Given on lend.
The brightest star in the sky,
Radiant for all to see.
Offering light and warmth,
While looking over me.
You’re a rose amongst other flowers,
The most beautiful of the bouquet.
You’re a kind and gentle spirit,
In your own special way.
You’re refreshing as the rain,
Strong as a storm.
I’m proud to call you mother,
Blessed was I upon being born.
