What can be said to ease the pain
Of doubts that bleed and bring the rain?
What can be done to comfort the heart
When she and her Love are miles apart?
How do you teach the winds of despair
To release the coil ‘round a vision impaired?
How do you soothe a woman whose hope
Is wrestling the faith she needs to cope?
How can you trust a fear that veils
The truth of a love that never fails?
What can you offer a soul that hungers
For merely the soft embrace of her Lover?
When will the ache of a lonesome memory
Sing freely again to live in its glory?
