Out th'window is seen a field,
Beyond it, is seen a moor,
In th'field worked mine true love,
Whom I can see no more.
Upon th'moore some fog doth settle,
Like an heavy heart,
Sometimes I think I see mine love,
Though he did indeed depart.
In th'moon I see his smile,
Which was always sweet,
I remember when I was a child,
An' th'bless'd times we'd meet.
In th'risisng sun I see his hair,
More fi'ry than his temper,
His mood seemed always devil-may-care,
An' made others' moods much better.
