I found a way to make the conscious scream intelligence
A mask that hides the truest glare of eyes
This isn’t who I am at all
The repeated conversion of dreams and reality
I’ve cornered myself amidst this shadow
And the temperature of your skin
Was the warmest it’s ever been
While mine was frozen solid
This is my dead grasp on feeling alive, a faulty design
One that always leaves me empty and alone in the end
