"just ignore him, he'll soon get bored"
these words now seem ironic
20 years on and he's still not bored
infact, he's a stand-up comic
20 years earlier the teacher spoke these words
she found his constant joking to be moronic
but the disruptive pupil found at an early age
that laughter is often the best tonic

I detest teachers like that. They want to take all the students and put them in a box stacked neatly and process them through like a commodity. Each person has a distinct personality and needs for their life. Each child had to be pushed towards his or her strength to be able for the to function properly. We cannot all be Albert Einstein, thank goodness.
