You promised you'd never leave,
a promise that you didn't keep,
you swore to me your love was true,
and shame on me for believing you.
I thought that you could just be mine,
but to you I was waste of time,
and you left me by this road alone,
to find my own way home.
Now you've closed your eyes,
and turned your head,
it's clear to me our love is dead.
