All the fragments of November,
Let's toss them out.
I've fought this long enough
To know.
Running on empty
And hollowed.
Tiredness washes over,
Wipes me out.
All the pieces of me
That made me 'me'
Erased,
Gone without trace.
Shadow of my former
That, even still, time to time
Loses itself to you.
Oh, I am weak
And I am longing
To move on.
Although my heart
Lies north of your's,
I cannot allow
Myself into that trap,
That world
I'm sure I'm not that girl
Anymore
Despite the desire to be...
I am not in love with you (?)
And you are not in love with me (?)
Our lives too different now
Yet parralled
In our tragedy
Of never fulfulling November's beautiful promise.
So, gather them up
And toss them out
Every trace,
Nothing more to do.
There will be no more
Telling of what was,
This will be my last poem
To you.
