Cancers and Coffee

It's a dripping cancer,
Poured over the carbon canvas,
When hypodermic hysteria insues.
Cold and numb; Limbs tingle,
With the burning barrage,
Of waterless drowning.
This is your fault line's offspring.
The dirt under your fingernails,
Tells of a job well done.
The latex resurrection,
Crawls beneath your skin,
While scalpels outline your aging shadow.
I left my fingerprints on the casket,
And cut the rubber with my tongue.
Momentarily interbred and xeroxed,
The lies give a false hope of sunset.
Crooked antennas bent on catching waves,
Learned in the ways of carnivorous canopies.
And we dared to mock,
The impending insurrection,
With a light-hearted tear,
And another cup of coffee.

Very cryptic but nicely done, I enjoyed. |
