I sit wondering did I do the right thing?
If only I could have my thoughts sing.
Maybe I wouldn't of had to do this.
And instead of just about talking. we would be sharing a kiss.
But my last proper words to you were bye.
I could no longer lie.
I had to finally be honest with myself.
This is me laying myself bare instead of being selfish.
I couldn't see another way.
If there was would you be able to say?
I think we should let this burn.
Forget about it and be friends instead of burning,
Each other more and more.
Yes i know you still adore,
Me.
Yet we are just not meant to be.
Deep down you know this is for the best,
So please try to move on and let your heart rest.

This is a heart-renching poem and deserves many comments. It's not always easy to come to the best relisation when it comes to relationships or indeed frienships but sometimes the wisest decsions are the most difficult to come to terms with.
