I asked for a husband,
God gave me a gem.
To love, honor, and worship with him.
I ask for a husband,
God gave me strength
To hold, cherish, beyond any length.
I asked for a husband,
God gave me joy to fill each day.
Bringing happiness in every way.
I asked for a husband,
God gave me life.
To accomplish each task,
With honor, to be your wife.
I asked for a husband,
God gave me a tower
To bring me above life's trials.
With unsinkable power.
I asked for a husband,
God gave me a river,
A never ending flow of His love.
I asked for a husband,
And got so much more.
I asked for a husband,
God gave me you.
