Dramatic Inner Changes II

Contributed by williamdye on Friday, 7th May 2004 @ 07:02:05 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Slowly up the creaking stairs
Blinded by anguish and painful
Remembrance of yesteryear
Reaching for the rail so cold
Ice penetrating my skin
Painfully moving my corpse ever so slowly
Delusion of this darkened night
Memory of what I used to be
Countless nights of fear
Fright will awaken me
You glaring at me
As you restrain me
Pounding me you scream
Throbbing sensation through my wretched body
Tears swell never to return
Readying for the empty day
Starring in the cloudy mirror
Slouched as one can be
Reaching for the straight edge
Tears welled up and heavy
Blue eyes swollen from pain
Locked in my torture
I slice with utmost force
All ten knuckles
How I hurt
It hurts so tremendously
I can not see through my tears
Why did I do this horrific action once again
The blood so red so dark
So painful with pure misery
As I slice up and down my arm
Then the other arm
I fall heavy to the floor and kick the door
I slice and slice and slice
More flesh to be ravish
More pain to afflict more happiness to endure
Thank you thank you

Normally, that would creep some people out. But, honestly.. I think I've got an idea of what you are going through. I like your writing style a lot.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
