Lord, you said, "you would not put more"
On us than we could bare.
Lord, I am telling You, I have had my share.
Please go back and take a look,
You sure my name is in that book?
I hear this noise when I walk along,
Feeling as if You've done me wrong.
Uncertain which way I should go
Hearing the clanking of my burned soul.
Help oh Lord, my pain does show.
Please go back and take a look
You sure my name was in that book?
You said, "You had something You had to teach.
Your out stretched hand I did reach.
Within my hand you placed a key.
Telling me to put my faith in Thee.
A key Lord, you gave to me?
Standing in a state of loss.
My heart as last turned to the cross.
Then Your wisdow came shining through.
Freedom brought thoughts of you.
With Your key my shackles removed,
That noise I hear no more.
Moving lighter towards Heaven's shore.
Lord, You said "You would not put
More on us than we could bare."
This key to freedom You did share.
Please go back and take a look,
Yes Lord, my name is in Your book.
