Sleepless Nights

I cannot sleep during the night,
I have always wondered why.
my brain is full of racing thoughts,
that make me feel quite high.

I try to read to help the pain,
but still is does appear.
I watch tv, play on the net,
turn the radio on to hear.

but still sleep never comes.
I can’t seem to understand
why my thoughts of suicide,
occur when there's no time at hand.

no time to think, no time to wonder,
no time to plot and plan.
I have but one wish in my head,
to be able to finally sleep! but man...

it never comes, I don’t deserve
what others do every nite.
I don’t deserve to sleep at all,
I given up on this fight...

i have the same problem. I've been told that apparently i think to much! and need to meditate and get in touch with that inner calm. I must admit some days it works really well. Good poem by the way!

i dunno why. its a depression thing. i dont think i deserve anything and i dont think im worthwhile. things like that.
