Downcast heart

Contributed by Archie on Thursday, 6th May 2004 @ 08:18:26 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Hey my friend:
you've been crying;
I can see
the tear streaks
down your face.

I stopped by
just to see you.
You've been gone
quite a while
with out trace.

And I know
you've been grieving;
how the depth
of your pain
must be grave!

You are lonely
and you're wanting
for a friend
to come share
in your pain.

I came to visit you friend today,
'cause I heard of your downcast heart.
I came to help you to bear your pain;
and to mend up your broken heart.

Life brings rain
to the flowers
afterwards
dark grey clouds
fade away.

Even though now
you are grieving,
I promise
joy will replace your pain.

I came to visit you friend today;
'cause I heard of your downcast heart.
I came to help you to bear your pain
and to mend up your broken heart.

Right now dark times have come;
you can not see the sun
and all you feel is pain deep inside your heart.
The flood of all you tears
real soon will disappear
and you will have great times of joy!

I came to visit you friend today,
'cause I heard of your downcast heart.
I came to help you to bear your pain
and to mend up your broken heart.

I came to speak to you friend today,
'cause I know of your downcast heart.
There is no reason to bear your pain
Let love heal up your broken heart.

This is the choice that you have to make,
Let love mend up your broken heart.
No one can make give up your pain;
let love mend up your broken heart.

Let love heal up your broken heart.

Let love give you a brand new heart.

Let love lift up your downcast heart.
