Like a sugar rush
The noise I can't hush
The beat of the heart
louder and louder
Becoming
bolder and bolder
Not scared of an approach
Anticipating the touch
Tonight I'll stay up late
Can't get enough of my hot date
Looking in the eye
Staring as I pass by
Fixing the gaze, gets
closer and closer
Looking
prettier and prettier
Can't hold it back for long
We both want to sing the song
Tonight I'll stay up late

| not really, I wasn't intending to write a song, but I was listening to some music which inspired this poem, so I guess I didn't even notice how the beat came out on the paper |
