Take My Heart

Topic: ChristianPoetry

I have something I want to give you
Something I've never fully given out before
I want to give you this
To help it grow
and make it lovely
I want the world to see
See a brand new me

I want to give you my heart
I want to give you all of me
Help me grow
Make me look lovely in Your eyes
I want to see
See a brand new me

I don't know how to love
I don't understand anything about this world
and I want you to teach me, everything
I want to know
I want to grow

So take my heart
(make it lovely)
Take my heart
(I want the world to see)
Take my heart
(see a brand new me)
Take my heart

I'm giving it to you to help me grow
help me know, know all about You

So take my heart
(make it lovely)
Take my heart
(I want You to see)
Take my heart
(See a brand new me)

I could not find a rhythym to match the chorus you wrote, but i'm not perfect either. Try sorting your lines by beats, that will help the words flow better.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
