~''~ Fallen Angel ~''~

Contributed by Cynthia on Thursday, 6th May 2004 @ 03:43:14 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

She used to be loved,
she did what she was told,
she never said anything
bad about anyone.

~''~

She was well liked
by everybody that knew her.

~''~

One day,
she went off on her own
and started hanging
with the wrong crowd.

~''~

She made the wrong choices,
she started drinking ,
she got into smoking
and after a while,
she got into drugs.

~''~

She threw what
she once had
all away,
she made the mistake
of overdosing and
she passed away.

~''~

Her life would have
been saved,
if she didn't let
her guard down
to be influenced....
by the wrong crowd.

~''~

this is so relevant to the youth today, I fell into traps, and ended up smokin so much pot I dont remember the past 3 years, but i managed to pull through and quit (i was addicted). So i can relate to this, but for me it wasnt so much falling into the wrong crowd (how i started) but inabality to cope with my abuse ridden past. anyway great write, deserves a 11 out of 5

A sad commentary about being lead by the wrong influences. Not only young but older people do this too. Hopefully the majority wake up and realize before it is too late they are being led to slaughter.

Yes, I believe we all have people like this in our lives. If only they were steered back onto the 'white' path. Great poem with a wonderful message.
