The Invitation

Contributed by remy on Thursday, 6th May 2004 @ 12:58:51 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

the surface measured has a way of looking plain.
i heard the words you've said but i also know this game today.
the focused steaming comes for sure as no surprise.
that's why another background strikes...
i'll be there.

it's true you knew i'd do through you
and you i knew and so could you...
you know that i'll be there.

but set the stage and we will dance
to grab ahold the mood you're in
i could wait but there's a better chance
that you will drive this steering
here i am, but a man, take your hand
now grab ahold...
i'll be there.

it's true you knew i'd do through you
and you i knew and so could you...
i'll be there.
take with me this twilight.
oh still i'll do through you it's true
and soon you knew that you could do...
i'll be there.
make with me a highlight.

and i can't wait for it... so soon, so soon
and i can't wait for it... you me, you and me
and i can't wait for it...

the sequenced lighting culminates upon your gaze.
i feel that i should go but my head can't seem to get away.
in perfect rhythm that sultry smile will arise.
and then you meet me at the eyes...
oh i'll be there.

it's true i'll do through you it's true
and soon you knew that you could do...
yes i'll be there.

the invitation came from just a glance
but now here's another moment
and look at you i take another stance
can't see where the time went
understand, yes i can, hand to hand
now grab ahold...
ooo, i'll be there.

it's true you knew i'd do through you
and you i knew and so could you...
i'll be there.
take with me this twilight.
oh still i'll do through you it's true
and soon you knew that you could do...
i'll be there.
make with me a highlight.

and i can't wait for it... there's you, there's you
and i can't wait for it... you me, you and me
and i can't wait for it...

i could take you round another night
the day you left seemed a bad one
it's a wait but that's still trivial
compared to tonight just one on one
but that's for then and this is now
we could stay at least another hour
this time we spent was a good one
and still, there's more, to come

it's true you knew i'd do through you
and you i knew and so could you...
i'll be there.
take with me this twilight.
oh still i'll do through you it's true
and soon you knew that you could do...
i'll be there.
make with me a highlight.
this time we spent was a good one
yet still, there's more, to come
