Her scent

Contributed by krisseee on Thursday, 6th May 2004 @ 09:30:45 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

i can't stand this bed unfrequented
the pillow, from her last visit, still sweetly scented
still scented, her scent my companion through this cold
her scent a constant reminder of who now i don't hold
the scent of who now i don't hold has penetrated my skin like a stain
the delicious, heavely odour slowly driving me insane
driving me insane, under my fingernails, on my chest
without her breathing softly next to me, how can i rest?
oh how can i rest with her so heavy on my mind?
how can i withstand the storm if our branches aren't intertwined?
intertwine our branches and let us grow together
forever joined as birds of a feather
birds of a feather, flocking together as one
love having the final word after all is said and done
after all is said and done i'm so glad that she's mine
and that she'll be back tomorrow to continue where she left off
rubbing her scent on me until the end of time.

Very well stated.
