A Mothers Love

Contributed by faithmairee on Thursday, 6th May 2004 @ 04:44:18 AM in AEST
Topic: MothersDayPoems

We were to meet at the garden gate
I did not know that you would be late
the news you brought when you arrived
did more than take me by surprise

the tears welled up inside your eyes
when you told me your sweet mother died
my heart went out to you in your pain
for you would never see your mother again

there is much that i don't understand
but one thing i know is always so
not even death can snatch a mother's love for it is with you where ever you go

That is one thing that lasts forever, even long after they are gone, a mother's love. Mother's are what keep this world going daily. This is great, Faith.
