A lullabye is softly heard
far within the wind
A child crys so gently there
and yet it has not sinned
Its ashame that there is sadness
coming from a precious soul
A mother's gone
God's will was done
and yet this little child will not know...
Its mother's love was present
even though she may have passed
her lullabye that she had sung will forever last
within the springtime meadows and within the buzzing bees
the lullabye that she had sung will not be blown away within the breeze...
The moon will shine so brightly and heal the child's pain
and a little deer, that was so near, will sweep his tears away
Although the boy feels sorrow
he knows he must stay strong
to keep his mother's will intact
and sing her very song...

Very sad but there is a sign of hope for the little boy in this delicate poem. Nice writing.

No this is not sad poerty it is life poetry and it is one of the best that I have read, you are improving. I really like this poem it gets better towards the end and your rhyming becomes more consitent as the verses move along. Nice job. |

Awww, this was beautiful. It really touched my heart. This poem reminded me of the song "Green Sleeves." Don't ask me why, it just popped into my head as I was reading this. Excellent write Jenny. *S* Cynthia |
