The music of the world

Contributed by Archie on Wednesday, 5th May 2004 @ 09:49:46 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

(Intro.)
The music begins with a strong heartbeat
Add the pittering sounds of walking feet
then the call of the seagul and the thump of a branch
as it hits the ground with a very hard crash
Hear the hum of the plane as it flies over head
Hear the crash of the waves on the rocks in their beds
And at first it might seem like a thunderous noise
'til you listen with your heart then you'll see it with joy.

(Song)
The car goes by upon the street.
My neighbors children stomp their feet.
At first it seems I should get mad,
but it does not disturb me bad.
A radio gets turned too loud.
A laughing person cackles proud
and to me all of this brings joy
the music of the world deployed.

(Chorus)
If you want a perfect town,
go make it.
If you want freedom to ring,
set captives free.
If you want a little peace
start praying,
for the world is seen in right actions

I hear the cry of the fallen child
I hear the mother's comforts mild
and on the news murder again
another soul lost to the wind.
Solicitor's call on my phone
trying to their sell promote.
A cat meows as I walk by;
a little pat will satisfy.

(Chorus)
If you want a perfect town
go make it.
If you want freedom to ring
set captives free.
If you want a little peace
start praying
for the world is seen in right actions

(Repeat)

I enjoyed the introduction and first verse - they were quite refreshing, in their presence and auditory elucidation of your surroundings. The chorus is nice, although I don't think it is as captivating as the verses.
Overall, very good though.
I enjoyed reading it.

I like your song. I have to agree that I think the chorus could use a little strength there but all in all it is enjoyable. You are so right here, change will only come from us if we so choose to act.

I'm back.
I guess I should have read the comments first but since I didn't then I'm back.
I disagree, to me the chourus is the strongest part of the whole song.
To see the world as You've discribed any one can see but now the chorus is the lost message to the world.
that's my veiw on this awesome write.
luv, huggs,
emy
