Five days ago we had you roasted,
Our festive meal for the day,
Four days ago you came back cold,
With pickles and salad on a tray.
Three days ago you were served with rice,
And presented as a curry,
Two days ago found you braised in gravy,
A meal made in great hurry.
Today you came back cold again,
I couldn’t believe my eyes,
Each day you come to the table,
Wearing a new disguise.
Next years Christmas dinner,
Will come as no surprise,
But I’ll be a bit more careful,
And choose a smaller size.

Damn! This poem is excellent! Such a great thought to work this one out in an amusing and expressive manner. Did I also mention that your R&R is impeccable?
Good work, Woody Welshman. |
