Taken Time....

Taken time
Fought pleasure
Measured against heights
And brought down a notch
Or to earth.
Ripped this out
And turned it away
Then re-housed it,
Refuelled it with
Too many thoughts
That ignited a hate,
Too incensed
To sense love again.
This has been a stretch too wide,
A load too heavy
That have passed hours,
Discreetly,
Neath the veil
And thin disguise
Of a smile.
