A Friendship Bond

Contributed by lil_angel on Wednesday, 5th May 2004 @ 05:59:42 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

As many as the clothes I wear
As many as the grains of sand
That is the moods I hide
The pain very little know about
The masks I hide behind
The people I hide my pain from
Very little know the pain I have been through
You took the time to be my friend
You kept me alive
As I hit another down point you let me be myself
When everybody else won’t!
Thanks for that friendship
You held me when I laughed
And also when I cried
You cared enough to run after me when I ran
You cared enough to sit until I told you what was wrong
As I try to hide again
Help me be me
Help me choose life
Please Andrew
Please

i thought this was a very well written poem. it must have been so strange for you to read this in retrospect and so difficult to have evidence of how you trusted someone so much and know now how they betrayed you and hurt you. i cannot even begin to imagine your pain or how you are felling. i just hope that you are safe and well. you have all my prayers and love...hugs dee*

My you have a lot of inner strength. I admire you for posting this. I don't think I could have. I am not sure I could have ever gotten to this point. You are an amazing young lady.

Rita

Lil angel, I can't believe how strong your heart was to write this. I wouldn't have been able to do it. *S* Cynthia
