Hint of mysteries washed ashore
Foaming waters dance across my toes
Rocks left behind by winter storms
Clatter softly a secret song
While gulls sing in harmony
My eyes look out across the sea
Where you live beyond my reach
Inside the dream, deep in my soul
You walk along a rocky beach
Looking west while I look east
Fate has placed you in my path
Dare I walk into your arms?
To taste the kiss of lover’s feast
Cold wind blows my dreams around
I watch the sea turn blue, gray, green
Waves crash with rushing sound
The cold Atlantic Sea a screen
Our passions kept apart
