how can you stand there defiant and bold
so admirable
but you're doing what you're told
i thought gossip would never trouble you
your true friends always know the truth
so don't listen my friend
follow your heart...
don't be afraid for it lights up the dark
whispers are nothing compared to a shout
block what they think
block what they say
block their shallow minds out!
because the crowd will lead you know where
only to despair
don't be full of regrets
listen to your heart and mind
and my friend...
happiness you will find...

Excellent work here. Yes, we must all follow our own hearts and minds. No one knows you as well as you do. Be strong in yourself and your thoughts and dreams and it can only manifest in what is best for you.
